4/21/17:  GAME NOTES:  Right-hander had 8 strikeouts in 5 innings pitched on Friday against Noblesville.  Pounded strike zone, featuring tough slider with some late tilt.  Consistently worked ahead with fastballs down in the zone.  Smooth rhythm, low effort.  Projectable frame with room to develop more velocity.

2/25/17: 6-foot-3, 175 pounder with long limbs.  Offensively, tall setup, loads back with a wrap, short stride, partial rotation with the lower half.  Average bat speed, long swing path.  Line drive approach, late rhythm.  Registered a high exit velocity of 84 mph.  Defensively, soft hands, fluid feet, clean exchange, plays through the baseball.  Long/loose high ¾ arm action with some accuracy.  Throws topped out at 78 across the INF.  Ran a 7.77 in the laser-timed 60 yard dash. 

2/25/17:  Pitching:  Smooth rhythm, reaches down the mound with stride leg.  Long arm action with above average arm speed.  Uses lower half well.  Fastball sat 80-82, touching 83.  Command to both sides of plate.  Slider has 10/4 shape with some late depth at 70-72.  Good feel for his delivery and composure on the mound.

6/22/15: 6-foot, 145 pounder pitches from a long, ¾ arm action with average arm speed.  Regular effort in the delivery with some rhythm.  Level shoulders, stays in line.  Lands open.  Fastball was 72-73.  Breaking ball showed an 11/5 shape with early, gradual break at 61-62.  Splitter was 63-64.  Defensively, showcased average hands, heavy feet.  Across the diamond was 72 mph.  At the plate hits from a tall setup.  Arm bar during the load.  Stride is short.  Average balance and bat speed.  Short, level path.  Rhythm is choppy.  Line drive type hitter, recorded a high exit velocity of 77 mph.

3/14/15: Justin is projectable with his frame and arm action.  He throws from a high ¾ arm slot.  His delivery has rhythm and some effort, but maintains good balance and direction.  His fastball has slight run and thrown for a strike (sat 71-72, topped 74).  Justin’s CB has 11/5 shape with gradual break at 62mph.  It was thrown for a strike at times and displayed potential to be a good pitch.  His change-up displayed arm-side run and fade.  At the plate, he has a tall setup and loads back.  After a slight leg kick, he has a level swing and produces line drives.  Justin’s exit velo was 80mph.  His throws were accurate with carry.  Hands were above average.  Exchange was quick.  His footwork will need to quicken if wants to play middle infield.  He ran an 8.13 60.  With added strength, Justin could be a high follow in 2019 class.
