6/15/16 - Max FB: 81, FB: 78-81, CB: 68-69
6-foot-6, 210-pound RHP with large frame and obvious projectability, works through a high-3/4 slot with regular effort and long arm action, showed similar velocity from winter event, fastball is straight but he stays tall and uses leverage to produce a downhill plane, curveball showed solid depth and good 11/5 action, consistently throws strikes with all pitches, allowed one hit and struck out two (both swinging on FB) in his two innings of work. Ramey has yet to show additional velocity, but it’s certainly a possibility moving forward.
2/13/16 - Max FB: 81, FB: 78-81, CB: 64-67, CH: 69-70, SL: 67-68
6-foot-6, 210-pound RHP with large frame, works though a high-3/4 arm slot with regular effort in delivery, shows ability to repeat delivery, uses height and leverage to produce some tilt on fastball and locates it down in the zone, shows feel for curveball with more gradual 12/6 action, also showed a slider that was slightly harder than the curveball with more lateral action, solid feel for changeup with some late fading action. With his size, Ramey needs to be watched for additional velocity.
60 Time: 7.83, Position Velocity:  OF-76, Exit Velocity: 89
As a position player, hits from a balanced and upright stance, short stride, uses trong frame to generate bat speed, uphill swing path, creates lift at contact, shows significant power to all fields. Has decent athleticism for size, plays through the ball with a two handed approach, long high-3/4 release with average outfield arm strength. From a positional standpoint may be better suited at first base. Showed some of the more impressive raw power of the event.
