Strong 6-foot, 220-pound frame with mature build. Physical right-handed pitcher attacks hitters with a simple, drop and drive delivery with longer arm action into a high-¾ slot with moderate effort. Creates downhill plane average command, moves the fastball in and out, up and down with ride through the zone at 82-85 mph. Showed solid feel to spin the baseball on a 73-75 mph slider, has the makings of an out pitch, tight spin with 10/4 shape. Used slider down and away to right-handed hitters and also ran it in under a lefty’s hands.
10/28/18 Medium, strong build at 6-foot, 220-pound frame. Right-handed pitcher working strictly out of stretch with short, loose arm action into high-¾ release, solid balance, and regular effort. Fluid rhythm with level shoulders, lands square, and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 80-82 mph with slight occasional arm side run, and downhill angle. Breaking ball showed 11/5 shape with near fastball arm speed, spin and depth at 71-72 mph.
