PBR Louisiana INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The PBR Louisiana internship provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to learn and enhance their skills in a variety of areas surrounding the game of baseball. Scouting is our forte, and while there are many opportunities to learn scouting and scouting terminology we also provide opportunities for sports marketing and sports journalism, while also receiving a platform in which interns can network with individuals from the scouting and college recruiting community. This internship will involve coverage of mostly Louisiana and Mississippi prospects, but also be involved in more national events.

SOCIAL MEDIA/MARKETING INTERN

Start Date: Open

Internship Description:
We are looking for a motivated individual to help with the coordination and execution of social media and email marketing campaigns. Desired candidate will work closely with current staff on a strategy for Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. The position will also design and execute email marketing campaigns using InFusionsoft software

Responsibilities
+ Develop and implement a weekly social media marketing plan
+ Manage social media at select PBR Showcases and Tournaments
+ Design and execute various email marketing campaigns

Requirements:
+ Must be able to reside and have reliable transportation in the Gulf Coast area throughout the duration of the internship
+ Strong writing and compositional skills

Desired Qualifications
+ Previous experience in marketing or social media
+ Experience with Adobe Photoshop
+ General knowledge of baseball
+ Currently working towards a degree in business, marketing, or sports management

BASEBALL JOURNALIST ASSISTANT

We are seeking qualified journalism students. It is required that the candidates have strong writing and compositional skills, and ability to meet deadlines and a strong understanding of the game of baseball.

Start Dates: Open

Location:  This position is based out of PBR Louisiana Headquarters in New Orleans, LA. Ideal candidates will reside in the Gulf Coast area while also having the ability to travel to PBR events throughout Louisiana and Mississippi.

Primary responsibilities:

• Write feature stories to be posted on the site's web-site.

• Write press releases providing details of events to be distributed to the local media.

• Provide administrative assistance, including but not limited to data entry and web research.

• Game and events coverage, composing recap stories.

VIDEO INTERN

We are seeking qualified students in film and videography who look to further a career in digital media. Qualified candidates would be responsible for video of PBR showcase events, editing work and the creative initiative to produce promotional digital media. 

Start Dates: Open

Location: This position is based out of PBR Louisiana Headquarters in New Orleans, LA. Ideal candidates will reside in the Gulf Coast area while also having the ability to travel to PBR events throughout Louisiana and Mississippi.

Primary Responsibilities: 

+ Operate video cameras at showcase events
+ Take and edit pictures
+ Design and create promotion video

SCOUT APPRENTICESHIP

If you are looking to break into the scouting community and learn the ropes from one of our seasoned PBR scouts, than this internship is for you. Ideal candidates are looking to complete an internship and already have experience and working knowledge in the game of baseball. 

Start Dates: Open

Location: This position is based out of PBR Louisiana Headquarters in New Orleans, LA. However candidates should have the ability to travel to PBR events, high school games and tournaments throughout Louisiana and Mississippi.

Primary Responsibilities: Shadowing a PBR scout as you learn the intricacies of scouting. Apprentices will be groomed to ultimately be sent out on their own to scout games and showcases while learning to construct scouting reports and grade skill sets.
