Benjamin Coombs: RHP/SS, (2025) Abington, MA. 6-foot-3, 150-pound projectable athletic build. Capable at the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 80 mph. (64.8 mph bat speed average). (24.0 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a handsy load, then uses a short stride. Has an uphill loose swing plane, developing bat speed and good extension on his finish. Found some barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 8.27. Projectable on the mound, showing developing arm speed he had a consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who shows easy effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 70-71 mph; has arm side command and running action. (Max spin 1858; Avg 1820). Has glove side around the zone control and sweeping action on his curveball (59-60). (Max spin 1584; Avg 1564). Had arm side control and gradual fading action on his changeup (66-67).
