The 5-foot-7, 140 pound right-handed hitting infielder had a tee exit velocity of 81 mph. The stance begins balanced over the midline with the bat resting on the back shoulder. The load is simple and get the weight to the back leg. As the swing begins, the bat takes a direct and flat path into the zone. Contact during the BP was hard and produced a lot of line drives. He also ran a 4.7 second home to first base during the event.Defensively, this infielder threw 73 mph across the diamond. The feet have slight movement before the ball is hit. As contact is made, the feet are light and he takes good angles getting into a good fielding position. He also showed the ability to cover ground laterally. Once he’s made the play, he works through the ball in line with the target.I like the actions of this infielder. I think he’s going to be a solid defender at the next level.

5-foot-5, 115-pound, smaller thin, athletic frame, the shoulders are sloped, has plenty of room to fill out. A scrappy player, showed well on both sides of the field. A right-handed hitter, hits from a spread out stance, feet are inline, uses a no stride approach. The hands are loose, bat starts flat on the shoulder and has separation from the body. The hands are loose, swing path is down to level to up. The barrel has life and whip out front for his age. The approach was middle to opposite, keeps his hands inside the baseball well. The weight wants to leak forward just a bit, stay back and balanced throughout. Defensively, the feet and hands work well together, gains ground towards his target during transfer. The arm has whip like action to it, ball comes out of a ¾ slot, clocked at 74 mph, has strength to it. The slow roller promove was handled with ease, worked low and came through the baseball. Only a freshman, solid mechanically, needs strength, good follow.
