6.28.2017

6-foot-5, 170-pound right-handed pitcher who has a tremendous upside on the mound. The fastball touched touched 84 with arm side run and leverage to it. The command of the ball needs to improve, but he is still growing into the frame. He is all arms and legs currently. The breaking pitch is slurvy, and he slows the ball hand down. The pitch sat at 66 mph. The changeup is a work in progress, sat at 73 mph. The slot is slightly above ¾ and the ball comes out nicely. Athletic lift and coil at the top of the lift. The tracking of the front shoulder and the direction needs to improve as that takes him away from his arm. The arm works fine but the front part of his body takes him to the first base side. Very interesting prospect, if he gets the delivery cleaned up you may have a serious guy.

6-foot-5, 170-pound lanky right-hander from the Legends Program. Fortunately for us, this is the second time we are seeing him throw. The arm works freely out of a higher than ¾ arm slot. The arm swing is long on the back side. The tracking to home plate needs to improve as he ages, as he is still growing into his frame. The projection on this arm is tremendous. Fastball touched 81 mph with arm side action to it. The breaking pitch is sweepy, sitting at 67 mph. The spin pitch should be formidable in the coming years. The changeup is 70 mph and needs a grip fix as it spins the wrong way. Big follow on the mound as you can’t deny the size and leverage to the frame.

6-foot-5, 170-pound right-handed pitcher who impressed me a great deal with his size and arm swing. The frame is excellent as you can tell, plenty of room to fill out as he ages. Should be on every colleges radar. The fastball sits in the upper 70’s now, showed an ability to throw strikes with it. Threw a frisbee version of a spin pitch, needs more fastball hand speed to it, but the shape is good. Pitch sat at 61 mph. The changeup spun correctly and had fade to it, sitting at 65mph. The delivery needs to improve in some areas but the raw talent can’t be ignored. The shoulder tracking to foot strike needs to be corrected and relaxing the body throughout the delivery will help as well.

Tee Exit Velocity- 76 mph
