Dylan Locke: C/2B, (2022) Hopkinton, MA. 5-foot-10, 180-pound sturdy frame. Above average during batting practice, Locke clocked an exit velocity of 95 mph. Began in an athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a leg kick. Had above average bat speed, uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found lots of barrels with loud contact. Aggressive approach. Laterally, his movements were athletic. While catching, he made throws to second at velocities up to 74 mph; had sure hands, a clean exchange, and athletic footwork. Had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.89 pop time. Athletic setup with above average flexibility. Using a quick arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the bag from a high ¾ slot. His skill set is improving and he is trending up.

Body: 5-foot-10, 180-pound sturdy frame.
Hit: (RHH) Starts in an athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a leg kick. Above average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, uphill swing. Aggressive approach.
Power: 95 mph exit velocity.
Defense: (C) 1.89 pop times. Sure hands, athletic footwork, clean exchange. Above average. Athletic setup with above average flexibility. Movements laterally were athletic.
Arm: 74 mph catcher velocity. Quick arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.
5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitting catcher. He showed very well for me at the event as the skill set is very good at his age. He ran a 7.41 sixty at the event. The receiving is solid behind the dish and he showed the ability to secure the catch. The feet and arm work quickly during the transfer, throwing 71 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.0. The bat has an exit velocity of 85 mph. The setup is wide in base and the front foot steps into the swing. The hands produce a clean swing, slightly uphill through contact. He showed plus bat speed and life at the plate. Good looking prospect.
