Jayson Ruehs: OF/OF, (2025) Plymouth South, MA. 170-pound solid athletic frame. Projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 90 mph. (64.3 mph bat speed average). (20.7 mph hand speed average). Begins in a narrow balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a small stride. Had a flat loose swing plane and a good extension on his finish. In his round he found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Projectable his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 84 mph; had in control athletic footwork, developing hands, and a natural exchange. Fields the ball to the side, movements laterally were developing athletically. Used a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag.
