10/16/2016

Physical right-handed hitting first baseman that has improved immensely since we last saw him. Stands 6-foot-3, 215-pounds with more room to fill out. Ran a 7.5 60 at the event. The bat has strength to it, tee exit velocity of 88 mph. Sets up with his hands high and the front foot slightly open to start. The front foot closes down as the ball approaches. The hands drop slightly to initiate the swing, leading the path to be slightly uphill. The pull side of the field shows better for him than using the whole field. Staying on the ball and inside the ball at contact will help his plate coverage. The glove is solid at first base and the footwork around the bag is appropriate. Threw 72 mph across the diamond to third base. Good looking, physical prospect.

6/28/16

Physical right-handed hitting first baseman who has attended previous PBR events. Continues to improve as the bat has juice in it, tee exit velocity of 90 mph. Sets up slightly open with his feet and a high handed setup. Pulls the front side off the ball a bit prior to contact. The path is long and strong, showing pull side power. Ran a 4.57 down the line on the dig. The glove is solid at first and he threw the baseball 73 mph across the diamond. Doing a prep year at Bridgton Academy which should help him mature and develop nicely, keep an eye on the bat.

8/5/15
Big right-handed hitting first baseman who shows power potential at the plate. Tee exit velocity of 91, as he has a tremendous amount of strength in his hands. Shows a feel for the bag at first and threw 71 across the diamond. Ran a 4.69 down the line as he displayed good power during batting practice. The swing is long and strong as he drops his hands a bit as the ball approaches. The bottom half needs to stay in position longer as he collapses some during the swing. He starts with a wide base and high elbows.

6/23/15
Big bodied right-handed hitting first baseman at 6-foot-3, 225-pounds. The bat has a great deal of strength to it, looks stiff at the plate but the ball comes off the bat very well. Tee exit velocity of 90. Hits out of a wide base and even hand approach. Power was displayed in batting practice.  He was on time in the game as well. Ran a 4.85 down the line and threw 68 across the diamond.  The glove was solid at first and his feet worked fine around the bag. The bat has power to it, keep an eye on it.
