3/23/24

Sebastian Diaz: C/2B, (2028) Dartmouth, MA. 140-pound slim frame. Projectable during batting practice, Diaz clocked an exit velocity of 80 mph. Starts in a wide closed stance with a handsy load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed was quick, used a flat loose swing plane and level finish. Found lots of barrels with loud contact. Line drive approach. Behind the plate, he made throws to second at velocities up to 65 mph; showed developing hands, a natural transfer, and in control developing feet. Clean setup. Used a consistent arm action and a high ¾ slot.
