Zach Bowley: LHP/1B, (2024) out of Shrewsbury, MA. is a 5-foot-11, 150-pound left-handed pitching prospect. On the mound, he uses a longer, high ¾ arm slot to produce a fastball (67-68 MPH) with some late run. He works out of a slower-tempo, direct delivery, with good balance at the top. As he works down the mound, he’s in line with home plate and lands square finishing over his front leg. Bowley also shows a 12/6 curveball (55-57 MPH) and a splitter (61-63 MPH) with the correct action.
5-foot-8, 125-pound left-handed pitcher. The fastball sat 60-61 mph with arm side action to it. The spin pitch was 51-53 mph and big in shape. The changeup is a work in progress for him. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/4 in height. The lift is methodical and he repeats the slow tempo of the delivery. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to be aligned with the catcher as he spins off the target prior to getting into foot strike. The glove has minimal pull as it comes across the hitters face. The addition of strength and weight gain through the next couple years will aid in the development of his game.
