Benjamin Voelkel: C/OF, (2027) Pembroke High School, MA. 145-pound lean athletic build. Projectable during batting practice, Voelkel recorded an exit velocity of 89 mph. Begins in a wide closed stance with a handsy load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed is quick developing, exhibits an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. In his round he found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Behind the plate, he recorded a position velocity of 72 mph during throw downs; showed in control developing feet, a natural transfer, and developing consistent hands. consistently had pop times of 2.20-2.30. Clean setup. Had a high ¾ slot and decent accuracy to the bag. Recorded a 60 time of 7.09 at the event.
