Brody Alves: RHP/1B, (2027) Bishop Feehan, MA. 6-foot-3, 220-pound mature frame. Projectable and above average at the plate, the hitter was ranked 1st with an exit velocity of 92 mph. (66.6 mph bat speed average). (20.8 mph hand speed average). Begins in a narrow balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed was developing above average, showed an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. In his round he found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Capable in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 78 mph; has developing soft hands, a natural exchange, and developing consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Had a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the base. Projectable on the mound, showing developing arm speed he used a high ¾ arm angle and a consistent arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 78-79 mph; had running sinking action and arm side command. (Max spin 1963; Avg 1841). His curveball (62-63) has sweeping action and glove side sporadic command. (Max spin 1601; Avg 1601). Had arm side command and gradual fading action on his changeup (72-73).
