John Burke: 3B/RHP, (2028) Plymouth Intermediate, MA. 135-pound lean frame. Raw during batting practice, Burke had an exit velocity of 61 mph. Started in a narrow open stance with a wrapping load, then used a small stride. Bat speed was developing, uses a long flat swing plane and level finish. He found some barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Capable while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 70 mph; showed developing consistent feet, developing hands, and a natural exchange. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. Had decent accuracy to the base and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 8.5. Capable on the mound, showing developing arm speed he used a consistent arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 67-68 mph; has running sinking action and arm side sporadic command. (Max spin 1913; Avg 1855). Had sweeping action and glove side command on his curveball (57-58). (Max spin 1748; Avg 1705). Throws a straight changeup (58-59).
