Ryan Gildea: LHP/OF, (2026) Weymouth High School, MA. 6-foot-1, 149-pound slim frame. Solid at the plate, Gildea had an exit velocity of 82 mph. Began in a balanced open stance with a low long load, then used a closed small stride. Had developing bat speed, long loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels through his round. Gap to gap approach. Had a very quick arm action and a ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. Projectable on the mound, used a consistent loose arm action with a ¾ arm angle while showing developing arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Displays in line shoulders and a consistent balance point. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 73-74 mph; shows running sinking action and arm side command. (Max spin 1942; Avg 1887). Has slurvey action and glove side around the zone command on his slider (63-64). (Max spin 1981; Avg 1935).
