Gus Groh: OF/C, (2027) Deering, ME. 5-foot-5, 130-pound lean athletic build. Athletic at the plate, Groh had a max exit velocity of 77 mph. (63.1 mph bat speed average). (19.1 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced wide stance with a tight load, then used a small stride. Has developing bat speed, flat swing plane and level finish. He barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Athletic in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 66 mph; showed a clean exchange, developing athletic feet, and developing hands. Movements laterally were developing athletically and he fields the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot and consistent accuracy to the base. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.36.
