Begins in a tall balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a toe tap stride. Had a simple level swing plane and a balanced finish. Up the middle line drive approach. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 83 mph. While catching, throw downs to second were maxed at 74 mph. Behind the plate, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 74 mph; showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.99-2.05. Smooth confident on the mound, showed quick above average arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a loose clean arm action. Feel drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows high effort. Has even in line shoulder with an athletic balance point. Lands closed with recoil finish. (Max spin 2082; Avg 1957).
