Player Spotlight 

Brady Baalaer: C/RHP, (2024) Lanse Creuse North, MI. 6-foot-1, 160-pound. Athletic in the box, Baalaer recorded an exit velocity of 91 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a controlled smooth load, then uses a small leg kick. Has explosive bat speed, upward loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Had a lot of loud contact and found lots of barrels. Gap to gap approach. While in the infield, made throws up to 77 mph. Behind the plate, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 75 mph. Behind the plate, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 75 mph; He had a pop time of 2.00-2.05. Used a loose arm action to the bases. Recorded a 60 time of 7.79 at the event. Athletic on the mound, used a short arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing good arm speed. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses decent effort. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Shows a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 80-82 mph; showed consistent command and running action with heavy movement. His 12/6 curveball (62-64) has arm side command and gradual action. Threw his sharp changeup (68-70) with command low in the zone and fading action.

Position: C/RHP

Body: 6-foot-1, 160-pound .

Hit: (RHH) Started in a balanced stance with a controlled smooth load, then used a small leg kick. Explosive bat speed. Good extension on his finish, upward loose swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 91 mph exit velocity, average 83.46 mph. 60.44 mph bat speed average. 20.66 mph hand speed average.

Arm: 77 mph infield velocity. 75 mph catcher velocity. Loose arm action. 

Speed: 7.79 (60-yard).

Pitching: Athletic. Tall-and-fall delivery, decent effort. High ¾ arm angle, good arm speed, short arm action. Athletic balance point, even shoulders, a falling off finish.

FB: T82. 80-82 mph. (Max spin 1867;  Avg 1766). Consistent accuracy, running action, heavy movement. 

CB: 62-64 mph. Arm side control, gradual action, 12/6 shape. 

CH: 68-70 mph. Low in the zone control, fading action, sharp movement.

Brady Baalaer: C/RHP, (2024) Lanse Creuse North, MI. 6-foot-1, 160-pound. During batting practice, Baalaer had an exit velocity of 90 mph, showing his ability to drive the ball with power. While catching, he had a pop time of 2.17-2.21, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 73 mph. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 75 mph. Recorded a time of 7.71 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, sat with his fastball at 78-80 mph with a max of 80 mph. Curveball (60-63 mph).

Pitching: On the mound works on the left side with hands high working quick down the mound. True 12/6 curveball that works low with a fastball that has late movement. 

Fielding: In the infield at 3B starts from a tall starting point working towards the ball showing soft hands taking a step and showing a quick release. 

Hitting: At the plate keeps his hands back showing an aggressive swing path at the plate. Ball jumps off his bat. Shows some raw power crushing multiple balls.

Hitting: At the plate has an open stance keeping his hands close to his body has a front leg lift turning in work at times cutting himself off during his swing. Was able to get his barrel through the zone with a top and release showing raw power potential when he squares the ball up.

Pitching: On the mound takes a step towards his left side moving to his balance point after he pivots throwing from an over the top arm slot. Ball was powered down in the zone showing easy arm action. Shows and 11/5 break on his curve ball with an early break to the pitch down in the strike zone. Clean arm action on the changeup similar time arm speed as the fast ball. 

Fielding: In the infield aggressively attacked the ball building off of his left leg. Shows soft hands and choppy feet prior to fielding the ball.
