1/27/13 Joey Slivik is a undersized lefty (5-foot-8) who can pitch well. Slivik has a compact repeatably delivery that allows him to throws strikes. His tempo is slower at the beginning but the arm is quick and the ball jumps from his hand. His fastball will range between 81-85mph but reports have had him up to 87mph in the past. His breaking ball (63mph) had good downward tilt and had a later action to it. Slivik should not be overlooked because of his size. We project him to add velocity as he continues to mature and tweak his mechanics.
