Miguel Hinojosa: OF/LHP, (2023) Cass Technical, MI. 5-foot-5, 115-pound. Athletic at the plate, Hinojosa recorded an exit velocity of 82 mph. (56.4 mph bat speed average). (19.8 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic stance with a controlled smooth load, then used a toe tap stride. Bat speed was quick, had a simple short swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up lots of balls with a lot of loud contact. In the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 71 mph; has a clean exchange, athletic feet, and soft consistent hands. Used a very quick arm action and a high ¾ slot. From the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 75 mph. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.7. Athletic on the mound, used a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Has an athletic balance point and falling off shoulders. Lands closed with an upright finish. Sat with his fastball at 68-71 mph; has cutting action and consistent command. Threw a 1/7 curveball (60-61) with sweeping action and low in the zone command. Had sinking action and consistent control on his changeup (67-0).
