2021 Ryan Szczepaniak has a 6-foot-3, 200 pound frame delivering from a 3/4 arm angle with no effort. Has sneaky get up on his fastball, hiding the ball well. Fastball sat 86-88 mph with a sweeping slurve 70-72 mph. Struck out three batters in two innings of work.
Mechanics: On the mound starts at an angle moving to his balance point rocking back and throwing from a low 3/4 arm angle.
Fastball: Arm side run on the pitch down in the zone. Has a fast arm attacking hitters. Good late action makes it hard to square up.
Curve: Pulled the string on the curve producing swing and misses. 71-72 mph. Slows arm a little on the pitch with a big break.
Mechanics: Calm motion with a low leg lift throwing from a 3/4 arm angle.
Fastball: Comes out the hand easy sitting 83-85 mph while commanding the zone. Cut action on the pitch.
Curve: Sweeping action on the curve with a later break 64-66 mph.
Change up: Curve action on the change up thrown with similar arm speed as the fastball 71-73 mph.
6-foot-1, 185 pound RHP has an advanced frame for a 21 grand. On the mound works at an upbeat tempo throwing with a long arm whip sitting 80-83 mph. Sweeping curve 66-69 mph with a nice break. Commands the zone well. Mixed in a downer change up 66-69 mph. High follow for colleges.
