Owen Thornton: RHP/3B, (2025) Bishop Brady, NH. 185-pound projectable athletic frame. Capable during batting practice, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 82 mph. (67.2 mph bat speed average). (20.3 mph hand speed average). Begins in a narrow open stance with a handsy load, then uses a closed small stride. Bat speed is developing, exhibits an uphill loose swing plane and high finish. He found some barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Projectable in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 79 mph; has developing hands, developing consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Laterally, movements were developing athletically and fielded the ball out front. Had a ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. Solid on the mound, showing developing arm speed he had a ¾ arm angle with a consistent arm action. Feel type pitcher and showed some effort. Balance point is tall with in line shoulders during delivery. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 79-80 mph; shows arm side command and running sinking action. (Max spin 2394; Avg 2094). His sharp slider (74-75) showed hard tight action and glove side control. (Max spin 2480; Avg 2480).
