Rodriguez is a 5-foot-4 140 pound SS with an athletic build and fast twitch actions. He ran a 7.16 60 and a 4.37 home-to-1B. Offensively - Sets up with a slight open stance and explodes to the ball with his lower half. Aggressive approach with a repeatable swing that produced line drives to all fields. Bat stays flat through the zone; exit velocity was 81 MPH off the tee. Defensively - Excellent footwork and soft hands; throws from a consistent low slot angle. Infield velo was 76 MPH but has been up to 80 MPH in the past. Active footwork which placed him in a good position to deliver his throws; 2B projection at next level with an adequate arm to spin the double play.
