Campus Series (August 15, 2017)

Frank stands 5-foot-5, 140-pounds with a lean frame. Offensively- Slightly open stance, barrel upright on the start. Longer path to ball from a level path through contact. More consistent to his pull-side. Medium extension on his finish. Exit velocity was 72 MPH. Defensively- Fields the ball from the OF staying behind and moves through his throws, short quick arm-action, high ¾ slot at 66 mph arm-strength. Throws also 66 MPH across the diamond from SS.
Winter Open (February 26, 2017)
Frank stands in at 5-foot-5, 140-pounds with a lean frame. Ran a 7.97 – 60. Offensively- Righty sets up slightly open with his feet shoulder width apart. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding the bat above the back shoulder. On pitch his trigger is a slight step forward while his hands move back slightly to get into his hitting position. Could use a more aggressive lower body rotation to get more of his body frame into the swing. Pulls off the ball with his front side causing the bat to drag through the zone. Can correct with a better rotation on bottom half and keeping that front shoulder square with the pitcher longer to get more body weight into the swing. Demonstrated an inside-out swing hitting the ball the other way. Recorded an exit velocity of 71 MPH. Defensively- Good crow hop mechanics getting the ball from the glove to the throwing hand. Can have more of a downhill throwing motion to help with strength and accuracy on throw. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 64 MPH.
