Physical: Lean 6-foot, 160-pound frame with projectability at the moment. 9.06 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Even, bent stance as the hands started idle and flat on the shoulder. Utilized a toe tap stride in order to initiate the bat head through a flat path into the hitting zone; recorded a 36% line drive rate per Trackman Baseball during his batting practice round with ability to stay on the baseball through the middle / left side. A 22 mph hand speed and 82% on-plane efficiency give confidence that he can continue developing a solid 79 mph exit velocity down the line as he matures. Got up to a 242 foot maximum batted ball distance with more to come.
Defensively: The primary first baseman set up early at the fielding window with a medium posture, soft glove hand off the middle of the body with adequate timing, lined up the shoulders and hips and let it rip across the diamond from a low ¾ slot. Accurate and on target up to 65 mph, low-effort.
7/02/19
A lean athletic 5-foot-7, 125 pounds. Ran 8.98 in the 60 yard dash. Offenesively- the left left handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance, feet stay together when loading. Throws the hands into the hitting zone. Displayed hard consistent contact during the batting practice. The top exit velocity was 68 MPH. Defensively- sits back when fielding the baseball. Fields the ball slightly upright. Takes his time to gather himself when making throws. Throws from a mid ¾ arm slot. The top throwing velocity was 54 MPH. Pitching- the left handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery. Works with a high knee lift, keeps the front side close. Throws from a ¾ arm slot. Showed plus command of a FB which peaked at 65 MPH and ranging from 62-64 MPH. CB is loopy and ranged from 54-56 MPH. The 2024 graduate has upside.
