Physical: Athletic 5-foot-7, 172lb frame with strength carried in the actions and feel present. 6.97 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Open, shoulder-width attack as the hands operated up/down, slightly low at the shoulder. Utilized a higher, flat barrel path into the hitting zone on time with a short lift and replace stride, allowing for a mostly middle of the field line drive approach during BP (46% line drive rate). Was able to tuck the hands inside the baseball, consistently showing short and direct to all fields, projecting to hit for some average down the road with ready bat to ball skills. Posted a T90 mph bat-exit velocity (via Trackman) adding a near 320 foot batted ball distance for doubles power at the plate.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured a wider, traditional setup in the crouch with a soft glove hand working up through the baseball on the low pitch. Pop times ranged from 1.94-2.00 using a lower posture and gained ground towards the target with good lower half drive. Stayed in-line, setting the shoulders and releasing quickly from a shorter, H ¾ slot (75 mph arm, accurate). Able to shut down the run game on occasion with seasoned abilities in catch/throw phase.
Physical: 5-foot-6, 158-pounds. strong frame. 7.08 runner in the 60; 4.57 home-to-1B. consistent throughout.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced slightly bent at the knee’s stance, short simple load action, hands shoulder high Flat barrel path through the zone, strong hands at the point of contact level two handed finish. Hard contact to the middle of the field. 78 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: 2.12-2.22 pop times. C: Gains ground with frame, wide stance, above average ball transition, accurate throws to the glove side of the bag, INF: Starts and stays low on approach, works from the ground up, shuffles to release. C: Short arm swing, 3/4 arm slot, INF: Medium arm swing with high 3/4 slot. C - 63 MPH. INF - 73 MPH.
At the plate, the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance feet shoulder width apart. Short simple load actions. Flat bat path through the hitting zone. Miller displayed hard consistent contact to the middle and opposite side of the field. Defensively- the catcher displayed active footwork behind the dish. Above average transition and quick release from a mid ¾ arm slot. Miller displayed an accurate arm on throws to the bag.
