6-foot-4, 215-pound, large physical frame. A well proportioned athlete, shoulders and back are wide. A right-handed hitting first baseman, top tool is his bat, shows the ability to drive the baseball to all fields. The setup is wider, front foot starts open, hands are loose at shoulders. The lower half is under control, simple pick up and put down with stride foot. The swing is down to level to up, barrel stays in the zone, creates backspin with loft and lift to the swing. The baseball comes off the bat better than the tee exit velocity registers, clocked at 80 mph. Finishes the swing high with one hand, gets through the baseball. Took a solid batting practice and collected a couple of hits during game play. Defensively, clean feet around the bag at first base, good drop steps starting the double play. The hands are soft on the catch and picks. The arm action is super short, throws from the ear, from a ¾ slot. The arm was clocked at 65 mph, with good touch on all throws. Look for him to be able to swing the bat at the next level.
