Miller stands in at 5-foot-11, 190-pounds with a think athletic frame. Ran a 7.27 – 60. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with feet outside the shoulders in a wide base. Knees are slightly bent with an upright torso while his hands are held in front of the back shoulder keeping the bat quiet pre-pitch. On pitch his trigger is a toe tap forward to stride while his hands move back slightly into a good hitting position. Good lower body rotation utilizing whole frame in swing. Hands are quick to the hitting zone with good upward lift throughout the hitting zone into a high two handed finish; middle of the field, line drive results with flashing some pop to his pull side. Quiet and smooth swings making it look effortless. Recorded an exit velocity of 81 MPH. Defensively- Good footwork and approach to baseball. Fielding mechanics are smooth with good technique. Footwork could be more aggressive towards intended target to gain ground with a shorter infielder arm swing. Moves well left/right and fields ball on the run well. May project better as an offensive minded secondbaseman. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 70 MPH.
