Physical: Projectable, athletic 6-foot-1, 190lb frame. 7.62 runner in the 60-yard dash. Manhattanville commit.
Offensively: RHH - Wider, lower postured stance with the hands waving quickly at the head. Utilized a short, fast heel raise stride, initiating the bat head through a flat path into the hitting zone towards a higher rotational finish. Notched a solid 40% line drive, 50% fly ball rate split (via Trackman) pointing to the ability to keep the ball off the ground and worked up to a 300+ foot batted ball distance. Occasional doubles power to the pull-side gap, staying mostly to the left side of the field during his round with long levers. Found a T82 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak with room for more.
Defensively: The third baseman showcased adequate feet, arriving on time from a moderate posture. Fielded in by the toes, giving mostly with the glove-hand before shuffling in-line and releasing from H ¾ slot (lengthy, 71 mph arm, accurate).
Pitching: RHP - The righty started off the middle of the rubber with quicker pace in the delivery, coming paused at the top of the stack and getting into footstrike on-time from a H ¾ release (higher posture down the slope). The FB landed from 74-76 mph at 1354rpms for strikes at a 45% clip. Mixed in a lateral 66-68 mph SL that showed gradual shape and added an occasional upper 50’s knuckleball that varied results.
