Committed to St. John's out of Potomac State JC (WV).

7/7/15
Athletic body type at 5-foot-11, 160-pounds. Soft receiving skills behind the plate, good wide base with a large target, decent footwork and has clean transfers to throwing motion, has average arm strength and throws at a high-3/4 arm slot. At the plate hitter begins very relaxed and balanced, takes a short stride to the pitch with a fluid load, hands are long over the plate and makes consistent, solid contact, has some uphill tilt in his bat path but stays athletic at finish.

8/16/14

Henshaw stands 5-foot-11 160-pounds with an athletic frame built to add more weight. Behind the plate he shows athleticism and plus reaction skills with a clean, quick transfer from a high ¾ slot, 77 mph arm with a 2.13 pop time respectively. At the plate his approach is balanced bringing his front knee back for timing with a back load. His barrel is level through the strike zone with a balanced shoulder high finish, his exit velocity was 80 mph off a tee, he ran a 4.5 home to first time.

SS - In the infield he uses prep steps to get around the ball and fields the baseball off to his glove side with an average transfer and long arm action. He throws form a high ¾ slot at 77 mph getting his back side through the ball.

7/1/14
Henshaw stands 5-foot-11 160-pounds and has a project-able frame. At the plate he starts with his front foot open but athletic with a stride as we swings. His swing path is level with good extension after contact and a high finish. He rolls a little on his front foot affecting his balance. His exit velocity was 83 mph. Catching his pop time was a 2.06 with a 76 mph arm. At SS he gets behind the ball and fields out in front of his body nice. His release and arm are a bit long and needs to shorten that up.
