Preseason - East (February 22, 2018)

Rosati is a 5-foot-10 155 pound 2B/RHP with an athletic build.  He ran a 7.83 60 and a Home to 1st time of 4.31. Offensively - Sets up with squared, balance approach.  Exit velocity was 70 MPH off a tee. Rosati uses his lower half in approaching the baseball but was unable to consistently get the barrel on the baseball. Showed some quickness with a short stroke, however too steep launch angle is causing him to miss pitches just up in the zone.  Defensively - Sets up with a balanced and tall stance. Infield velocity was 77 MPH. Allows the ball to travel too deep into his stance; work on continuing movement through the ball and moving hands through the ball. Throws with a high ¾ delivery. 2B/3B projection. Pitching - Sets up in the middle of the mound. Max FB was 76 MPH, sitting 73-74 MPH. CB 59-62 MPH and CH 61-62. Delivery is smooth and compact...uses legs well throughout his delivery. Uses a short arm action; delivers ball from a high ¾ arm slot; showed good spin on his CB with 12-6 action and stayed down in the zone with the CH.

Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)

Rosati stands 5-foot-8, 140 pounds and ran a 7.83 60-yard dash. Offensively- At the plate he uses an athletic setup, a slight bat waggle before the pitch. Uses a back load, front stride for timing, bat path is short with the barrel staying mostly level through the contact zone. He has a 75 mph exit velocity. Defensively- Stays behind the center of the ball, open glove with no issues during the transfer. Arm-action is short in the back with a 3/4 slot release, arm-strength was 64 mph from the left-side. Pitching- On the mound, hands stay around the head region during the delivery, knee lift breaks belt high, he uses a long stride landing on the ball of his foot. Arm-action is short with a slight pushing motion to the front, elbow slightly below 90 degrees, he needs to work on developing more arm-strength which will help with the elbow dropping. Fastball sat 70-72 mph, change up 61-62, with a CB at 58-59 mph.
