WNY Unsigned Senior Day (October 21, 2018)
Lean, wiry build with proportional frame at 5-foot-11, 140-pounds. Offensively – Wide, balanced stance with feet set square to pitcher. Upper body stays upright with slight knee bend in lower half. Strides into a toe-tap as hands get loaded beyond back shoulder. Barrel gets on plane early and creates level swing path. Flashed consistent line-drive contact during BP. Low finish with minimal lift in swing. Defensively – Clean footwork with deliberate tempo to defensive actions. Remains balanced while moving laterally. Sinks hips and keeps upper body stacked over glove hand as he receives the ball. Very low ¾, borderline sidearm release point on throws. Long, smooth arm action. Uses side shuffle to get more momentum behind the ball. Pitching – Simple, repeatable delivery with clean throwing actions. Stays tall on backside as he gets into high, balanced leg lift. Keeps weight over the rubber while getting into forward stride. Lands with consistent direction towards his target. Front side opens up early at times but should be an easy adjustment. Arm action has slight hesitation but smooth, loose finish out at ¾ release. FB stays true as it carries into the zone. CB has tight break with 11/5 shape
