Sneak Peek: Michigan Top Prospect Games

The Arms

+ 2016 RHP Elijah Abenth (Heritage HS) dominated in his two innings on the mound. Working with a comfortable three-pitch mix, the 6-foot-7 right-hander allowed only one baserunner to reach on an error while striking out four. He had good control of his fastball at 80-82 mph while keeping hitters off balance mixing in a curveball and a changeup.

The Bats

+ 2018 1B/LHP John Malcom (Brother Rice HS) displayed incredible power to all fields while barreling consistently during batting practice. His physical stature at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds helps generate enough force and bat speed to produce a 93 mph bat exit velocity off the tee. Malcom has a slightly wider stance and hands were quick to the ball while working gap-to-gap with power.
