OUTLOOK:

There are two players in Kentucky's 2016 class who have verbally committed to play college baseball, and both of them will suit up for the Tigers this spring.  Sophomore OF/RHP Ethan Stringer (Louisville commit) and sophomore 1B/RHP Brayden Combs (Kentucky commit) return from standout freshman campaigns and join senior SS/RHP Jason Suchanek (Xavier signee) in leading Beechwood once again this spring.    Aside from the big three of Suchanek, Stringer, and Combs, the Tigers return an 4 additional starters, and look for big contributions from sophomore OF Brett Slusher, junior catcher Jake Schmidt, and senior MIF Trevor Booth (Taylor Univ signee).  Sophomore Kyle Fieger will provide additional depth on the mound.  Beechwood, coming off a 28 win season that saw them advance to the 9th Region semi-finals, have to be considered the preseason favorite for a 9th Region championship in 2014.
