As we prepare for our 2014 high school season coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK:

Paducah Tilghman finished the season with a 27-7 record last season and occupied the #15 spot in our final Power 25 team rankings.  The expectations are high for the Blue Tornado who advanced to the 1st Region championship game last spring.  With 8 returning starters and 10 returning pitchers, Tilghman will undoubtedly be one of the favorites in a tough 1st region that includes several high-level arms on the mound.  Jeremiah White (Murray State signee) is back to lead the Blue Tornado pitching staff after racking up 9 wins last spring.  Fellow senior LHP Jacob Underhill also returns his 9 wins, giving Tilghman two very good arms at the top of their rotation.  Senior Nick Shumaker (transfer from Lone Oak) is a big addition to the lineup, and look for seniors Miles Farley and Caleb Butler, and junior Aaron Armstrong to provide additional firepower for the offense.
