OUTLOOK

Head Coach Jamie Knight and the Clarksville Generals will look to improve on last year's 7-20 season. The Generals return all nine position starters as well as five pitchers from last season.  Senior Nick Jones, a Southeastern Illinois State commit, returns for his senior year and should be a key piece to the Generals offense.  The 6-foot-2, 180 pounder hit .356 with 3 HR and a .575 slugging percentage in 2014. Wyatt Kissel, a 6-foot-4, 190 pound INF/RHP, returns to the Generals lineup after hitting .338 with a .442 slugging percentage.  Kissel was also 5-5 on the mound, earning five of the Generals seven wins last spring. Justin Lind, a 6-foot, 170 pound senior, returns after finishing second on the team in RBI last year. Lind finished his Junior campaign hitting .243 with a .371 slugging percentage.  Another senior expected to contribute this year is Seon Shoopman who had 20 stolen bases on 22 attempts in 2014. Others expected to make an impact include Junior Cody Leonhardt (.267 BA, .467 OBP) and sophomore Clayton Haus who as a freshman committed just eight errors as the starting third baseman.  The Generals will have to keep pace with Silver Creek, Charlestown and North Harrison to stay atop the conference standings this spring.
