With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR New England is eagerly anticipating bringing the New England states the best high school coverage throughout the region.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Connecticut Spring Team Preview: St. Joseph HS

Team Name: St. Joseph
Head Coach: Jim Chaves, 92-25
Division: Class M
2015 Record: 14-10
Conference Record: FCIAC East 3rd, 9-9
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/3

2016 Team Strengths:

  • Great senior leadership as 4 of them are 3 year varsity players.
  • We feel we have good pitching depth with a couple young up and coming players in the mix
  • Big game experience
  • Return our middle infield

2016 Team Weaknesses:

  • Lack of experience in corner INF spots
  • Unproven line up depth
