With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Lincolnview Lancers

Team Name: Lincolnview Lancers

Division: IV
2015 Record: 7-18
Conference Record: Northwest Conference, 2-6
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 8/4

2016 Team Strengths:

• Leadership
• Returning starters
• Returning Pitchers
• Team Speed

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Defense
• 1st inning runs given up

Coach Outlook: Lincolnview returns a lot of letter winners from last season including eight starters (seven Seniors). Coming off a great Acme season, expectations are high for this team. We look to play solid team defense, be aggressive, and be mentally as well as physically prepared.

Top Returning Players:

• Chayten Overholt, SS, 2018, 5'8” 145, R/R, Lead team as a freshman in BA (.339), Broke the single season singles record.
• Jalen Roberts, LHP, 2016, 5'10” 160, L/L, LHP looking to have a great senior season
• Tyler Richey, C, 2016, 5'10” 160, R/R. Great arm behind the plate and projected four-hole hitter in lineup
