With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Indiana is eagerly anticipating bringing the best high school baseball coverage throughout the entire state.

2016 SPRING TEAM PREVIEW: Elkhart Memorial Chargers

Conference (2015 Record): Northern Lakes (7-7)

2016 Team Strengths:

• Starting Pitching (solid No. 1 & No. 2)

• Alec Mark (pictured right), P/OF, SR, 6'2", 215, L/R, BA = .354, 6HR, 24 RBI
• Jon Bailey, 2B/OF, SR, 6'1", 170, R/R, BA = .293, 10 SB's
Matt Kloss, P/OF, JR, 5'10", 160, L/L, BA = .302, 4-2, 1.36

Coach's Outlook: We have seen major strides in the development of some of our younger players. They are extremely coachable and several of them played a high level of summer baseball. If we can continue to develop, we should be a strong contender in our conference and sectional.

PBR Outlook:  The Chargers return a good nucleus with five starters and four pitchers returning.  They have young talent that will look to contribute, and if the defense plays to their capability, that should keep the Chargers near the top of the Northern Lakes standings.
