2016 SPRING TEAM PREVIEW: Madison Consolidated Cubs

2015 Record: 11-15
Conference (2015 Record/Finish): Hoosier Hills (7th)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 2

2016 Team Strengths:

• Pitching

Top Returning Players:

• Carson Compton, LHP/OF, 2016: 5'10, 200 lbs, 5-5, 3.86 ERA
• Jake Bell, RHP/SS, 2016

Top 2017's:

• Ceaton Bowman, SS/RHP 
• Zach Burnett, 3B/RHP (2-1, 3.11 ERA)

Outlook:   The Cubs will be young in 2016, returning three pitchers with varsity experience including senior southpaw Carson Compton. The lineup will feature seniors Compton and Jake Bell to go along with 7 newcomers getting their first varsity experience. Coach Barger hopes that the newcomers will have developed enough during the regular season to where the Cubs can compete for a sectional title.
