"The Hornets return 10 players off of last year's Section 2 runner up team. Captains Brock Boltmann, Jimmy Connell and Logan Krenik will lead an experienced and tested team in 2017. Seniors Will Gudorf, Jake McCuskey, Jason Sarp, Mike Voss and Mikey Weingartner, along with Juniors Charlie Fischer and Will Eckland all played significant roles in Edina's 19-6 season last year. There are several underclassmen coming up who will also help the Hornets compete for a Lake Conference and Section 2 title." Head Coach Carter Freeman
