After a busy winter we have released updated 2017 rankings. As the week moves forward we will look at the top players at each position. Today we take a look at the reports on the top left-handed pitchers in the 2017 class.

Hunter Milligan, LHP, Greenbrier High School
Milligan is a 6-foot-4 200-pound left-hander with a large frame and a sturdy build. He competes in the strike zone with a fastball that works 85-87 mph with slight arm side run. He has a feel for his mid-70’s curveball with a slowed arm action. He throws his changeup 79 mph. He pitches from an H ¾ arm slot with some stiffness and a deliberate delivery. Overall a physical player that can pitch with some projectability.

Milligan is the No. 4 ranked player in the state, and is committed to the University of Arkansas.

Lance Bonivillain LHP Bryant High School
Bonivillian is a 6-foot 180-pound left-hander with an athletic frame and build. He pitches from an H ¾ slot with a short quick arm action. He does a sound job repeating the mechanics of his simple delivery. He attacks both sides of the plate with his fastball 82-84 mph with late run. He compliments the fastball with a changeup thrown 72-74 mph, thrown with fastball arm speed and shows late movement. Overall Bonivillian is a solid athlete with a quick arm action and a feel to compete in the strike zone.

Bonivillian is ranked 29th in the 2017 Arkansas rankings and committed to the University of Central Arkansas

Reeves has a loose clean arm that commands the strike zone with 3 pitches. He works from a high 3/4 arm slot. His fastball works 82-84 mph and touches 85 mph. He throws his changeup with fastball arm speed, which gives it deception however, it lacks depth. He throws a 12/6 curveball with sharp break. Overall Reeves has advanced pitch ability and knack to win.

Reeves is ranked 30th in the 2017 Arkansas rankings and in currently uncommitted.
