The updated 2017 rankings have been posted, Arkansas is well represented with 3 players being ranked in the top 100.  Evan Hooper and Paxton Wallace join #3 over all Hunter Milligan. The Arkansas Player rankings will be released in Mid-January after our Elite Underclassmen Showcase on January 10th, at University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Below we have a complete breakdown of each player.

Hunter Milligan, LHP, Greenbrier High School
A 6-foot-4, 195-pound left-hander, Milligan commands his fastball to both sides of the plate. He has a clean arm action and has already touched 90. His curveball has good shape with 11-to-5 action. He could benefit from using his lower half more, but is mechanically sound.

Evan Hooper, RHP, Cabot High School
The 5-foot-11, 165 pound OF/RHP blew up the stop watch running back to back 6.51 and 6.55 in the 60. He continues to show off his tools in other areas, throwing 83 from the outfield and registering 86 on exit velocity. During the game portion of the day Hooper displayed a fastball of 83-84 from 3/4 arm slot and maintained his velocity late to batters when he dropped to a side arm slot with good arm-side run. His curveball is a work in progress with an 11/5 action. The change up was his best pitch with fastball arm speed and arm-side run. He threw his change up 74-76.

Paxton Wallace, 1B/RHP, Greenbrier High School
Wallace is a 6-foot, 200- pound 1B/RHP pitcher. He runs a 6.9 in the 60 and is very physical. Offensively has raw power to all fields. His swing is short with good extension and balance through contact. On the mound he is an interesting prospect pitching at 82-85 mph, touching 86 mph. He works from a High 3/4 arm slot and his arm action is clean. He has some extra effort and some timing issues to work out.
