This week we will be focusing on a few uncommitted catchers who are all definite D1 prospects. These players are from all over the state and have already made an impact on the summer circuit. Don’t be surprised if some of them commit before the fall.

Mason Doolittle C, Jupiter HS 2017

Doolittle is 6-foot-3 195 pounds with a tall, lean, athletic, and projectable frame. He has clean actions behind the plate with a quick transfer and release. Doolittle possesses an average ML arm and consistently shows a 1.8 pop time. He also swings the bat well with a flat swing plane and he squares up quality pitching.

Jake Molle C, University HS 2017

Molle is 6-foot-1 200 pounds with a strong, athletic, and projectable frame. He shows good footwork behind the plate with a quick transfer. He consistently fires a 1.9-2.0 down to second. At the plate, Jake has an easy swing and the ball jumps off his bat.

Frank Niemann C, Lake Mary HS 2017

Niemann stands at 6 feet 190 pounds with a strong and athletic body. He has solid arm and a quick transfer and release. 2.0 pop time. He has good rhythm at the plate and gets a nice separation for his load. He has good leverage in his swing and produces gap power.

Alexander Hernandez C, Flanagan HS 2017

Hernandez is 6 feet 185 pounds with a strong and stalky body. Very good behind the plate with a 1.83 pop time. He can also really swing the bat as he has a nice swing plane and gap power. He has shown to be able to drive the ball off of quality pitching with wood.

Samuel McMillan C, Suwannee HS 2017

McMillan is 5-foot-11 175 pounds with a lean and athletic frame. He has a quick transfer, ML average arm, and a 1.85-1.9 pop time. He has an advanced approach at the plate with a good lower half and bat speed.
