The 2018 Rankings were updated on July 10th 2017. Over the next week I will breakdown the top 50 players in the state, with scouting reports and a look at some of the top prospects video in PBR Plus articles. Below you will find the scouting reports on the ranked No.11- No. 20 in the class.

2018 RANKINGS UPDATE: SCOUTING REPORTS 1-10

2018 RANKINGS UPDATE: 7.10.2017

Jordan Wicks LHP / 1B / Conway , AR / 2018

Wicks is 6-foot-1 180 pound left-hander with a large frame and an athletic build.  He works from a 3/4 arm slot with a quick clean arm. He has smooth rhythm and good extension. His fastball is thrown 84-86mph with arm-side run. He commands a curveball with 1/7 action thrown at 72-75 mph. His changeup was thrown 71-73 mph with arm-side run. He has continued to improve has a hitter and is turning heads as a two-way player. He starts from an athletic stance and attacks the baseball with fast bat speed. He has an advanced feel for the barrel and has shown the ability to make loud contact on a consistent basis. Overall Wicks is a solid athlete with an advanced feel to pitch and has an advanced offensive skill set.

 

 

 

Hank Hannah LHP / OF / Catholic, AR / 2018

Hannah is a 6-foot 150-pound left-hander with an athletic frame and build. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a quick arm. His fastball works 82-85 mph with late arm-side run. He compliments his fastball with 1/7 curveball thrown 72-74 mph with solid action and depth. He repeats his simple delivery with rushed command. Overall Hannah has solid stuff, but has not shown consistent pitchability. A player to watch as he matures physically. 

 

Tyler Cleveland RHP / SS / Sheridan, AR / 2018

Cleveland is a 6-foot-1 150-pound right-hander with an athletic frame and a thin build. He shows advanced pitch-ability locating 3 pitches for a strike on a consistent basis. His fastball works 83-86 mph with late sink. He throws a slider with Frisbee action 74-76 mph with late action. His changeup is throw 71-73 mph with arm side run and is thrown with fastball arm speed. He uses a quick loose arm action from a low ¾ arm slot. He uses a simple delivery which is repeated consistently. Overall he is an advanced athlete with a feel to pitch and is an elite competitor. 

 

 

Landon Brown RHP / Shiloh Christian, AR / 2018

Brown is a 5-foot-11 185-pound right-hander with solid frame and build he commands the strike zone with a fastball 86-88 mph with slight sink. He compliments the fastball with a solid curveball with 11/5 break thrown 71-74 mph. He pitches from H ¾ arm slot with a short quick arm action. He repeats his delivery which allows him to command the strike zone on a consistent basis. Overall Brown is right-hander that commands the strike zone with two solid pitches.

 

 

Peydon Harlow OF / RHP / Harding Academy, AR / 2018

Harlow is a 6-foot-3 180-pound right-hander/ outfielder with a large frame and an athletic build. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a quick arm with some strength to his arm action. He uses a simple tall and fall delivery with a distinct balance point. He commands the strike zone with a fastball which works 84-86 mph. He compliments his fastball with a curveball thrown 71-74 mph with 11/5 early break. Offensively he starts from a tall stance with a simple load stride combination with a slight arm bar. He attacks the baseball with normal bat speed and an uphill swing. Defensively he shows solid instincts on balls in the air and plays through the baseball with fluid footwork and a strong accurate arm. Overall a physical player with some rawness to his game, he has a high ceiling as he continues to play the game. 

 

 

Luke Johnson 1B / LHP / Shiloh Christian, AR / 2018

Johnson is a 6-foot-5 230-pound first baseman with a massive frame and a normal build. He has advanced bat speed and physical strength. He starts from a tall stance, he uses a load with back action, he attacks the baseball with fast bat speed and a slight uphill swing. He shows a feel for the barrel and pull power. Defensively he plays through the baseball with fluid footwork and normal actions. He threw the baseball with a short arm action, with accuracy. Overall Johnson is a large player with a high ceiling due to his offensive power projection. 

 

 

Nathan Lyons SS / RHP / Bentonville, AR / 2018

Lyons is a 6-foot 185-pound infielder with an athletic frame and a physical build. He shows advanced offensive ability with fast bat speed and a consistent feel for the barrel. He starts from a balanced stance, he uses a slight leg lift as his load, he swings with a line drive swing with a high finish. He consistently works to the pull side with hard contact. Defensively he plays through the baseball, with a normal exchange showing off an accurate arm with carry. Overall Lyons is a solid player with an advanced feel for the barrel.

 

Demias Jimerson SS / OF / Malvern, AR / 2018

Jimerson is a 6-foot, 175-pound infielder/outfielder with an athletic frame and build. He has an advanced feel to hit. He starts from a tall stance with a short left-lift and a small hand load. He uses a short swing with a line drive plane. He shows the ability to hit the baseball to all fields and shows raw power to the pull side. He runs a 6.75 in the 60. Defensively he is a sound athlete which plays with fluid footwork. He shows some stiffness to his actions on the infield. He has advanced arm strength throwing the baseball 87 mph across the infield and 88 mph from the outfield with accuracy. Overall Jimerson is an advanced athlete with a feel to hit. 

 

 

Will Richardson RHP / 1B / Woodlawn, AR / 2018

Richardson is a 6-foot-3 190-pound right-hander with a large frame and an athletic build. He showed well during BP; he starts with a tall stance; using a simple load stride combination; he attacks the baseball with aggression and fast bat speed. He has the ability to hit for power to the pull side. In game he showed that he is a true two way player. He pitched 81-84 mph from a low ¾ arm slot with late sink. His ability to command two secondary pitches, make him very intriguing on the mound. His slider worked 72-75 mph with late action. His changeup was 69-71 mph with late sink. Overall Richardson is a solid two way player, with an advanced feel to hit and power potential and on the mound he commands the strike zone with late sink to hit fastball induces ground balls on a consistent bases. 

 

 

Aaron Mann 3B / RHP / Central , AR / 2018

Mann is a 6-foot-3 190-pound corner infielder with a large frame and an athletic build. He attacks the baseball with fast bat speed and strength to his swing. He produces exit velocity up 94 mph. He starts from an athletic stance uses a back load and has short stride. He uses an uphill swing to work with power to the pull side.
