WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

Expectations for Team - The defending 3A State Champions are returning a solid core from the ‘23 title.  With a taste of a state championship, along with the knowledge of how to get through the tournament, watch out for a potential repeat… but the season can be long and there will be teams looking to hunt Burns.

From the Coach, Expected Team Strength
Our entire 2023 pitching staff returns led by Colby Putnam, Marshall McGowan and Josh Taylor. The pitching staff will also be aided by Jackson Toney. We return 8 out 10 starters (including DH) from the 2023 state championship,  which will set a firm foundation for our defense.        

THOUGHTS ON THE CONFERENCE:

East Gaston and Highland Tech will be returning a core group of players in 2024. Also Cherryville will be reloaded and a formidable opponent.
