3A East Semifinal Match-ups

Kettle Run vs. Poquoson, 5:30 (at Spotsylvania High School)

Kettle Run is the Conference 27 champion and carries a five game winning streak and a 16-5 record into the semifinals. The Cougars got by William Monroe in a nail-biter on Monday to advance to the semifinals.

Poquoson is the Conference 25 champion and is coming off of a big win on Monday against Thomas Jefferson. Poquoson is led by shortstop Chase Pinder (Clemson) and has been a state title contender all season.

New Kent at Loudoun Valley, 6:00

New Kent defeated Hopewell in the Regional quarterfinals on Monday. The Trojans were led offensively by Chris Beshia and pushed their record to 16-8 for the season. New Kent enters the game having won 6 of 7, with the lone loss being in the Conference 25 title game to Poquoson.

Loudoun Valley was the Dulles District champion, playing against 4A competition all season. The Vikings also won the Conference 28 tournament last week and defeated Culpeper to advance to the semifinals. Loudoun Valley has allowed more than 3 runs just 6 times on the season as they carry a 22-3 record into the game.
