Game 1: Tuesday, May 15 6:00 PM Patterson Field

Game 2: Wednesday, May 16 4:00 PM Riverwalk Stadium (Game 3 would follow if needed)

Hokes Bluff: Beat Leeds 3-1, 5-2

                   Beat Winfield 15-1, 4-3

                   Beat Wilson 4-2, 8-2

                   Beat Oneonta 1-3, 9-4, 10-9

                          

Andalusia: Beat Monroe County 18-0, 27-0

                 Beat Trinity Presbyterian 3-0, 3-1

                 Beat Holtville 13-7, 4-0

                 Beat Bibb County 5-2, 9-8

 

Previous State Championships:

                Hokes Bluff- 9, first was in 1975, most recent was in 2008

                Andalusia- none


Other Notes: Hokes Bluff won 6 consecutive state championships from 2003- 2008. Key players for the Eagles are Jr LHP Dylan Teague, Soph RHP Caleb McGinnis, Jr CF Carson Eubanks and Jr C Houston Edwards.For Andalusia, Ethan Wilson LHP/OF signed with the University of South Alabama. Other key players are Jr C Hogan Nichols and Soph RHP Jacob Cravey.


Both teams swept every postseason series with the exception of Hokes Bluff’s 3 game set with Oneonta. This should make for an intriguing matchup between these two 4A powerhouses.
