Southern Nevada Trive (6) vs Durango Post #76 (2)

In the final game on day 1 of the American Legion Nevada State Championship, the top seeded Southern Nevada Tribe defeated Durango Post #76, 6-2. Post #76 scored first in the top of the 3rd on back to back hits by ’18 Cooper Kitrel and '20 Adrian Oles. Kitrel would provide the only other run with a solo home run in the top of the sixth. The Tribe mounted a balanced attack with all but two members of the starting lineup collecting hits. They plated all six runs in their final three innings at the plate with doubles from ’19 Kyle Turner, ’20 Zach Hose, and ’21 Dominik Tavares. Tribe starter, '20 Demitrius Vigil pitched 5.1 innings with 9 strikeouts and did not walk anyone.

'20 Adrian Oles, 2B (Western)
Small frame, 5-foot-10, 140, Oles has room for weight and strength gains. He showed reliable actions at second base and enough speed and quickness to stay at the position. He ran the bases well with efficient turns on a triple in the gap. At the plate, he maintained an aggressive swing, making solid contact in two of three plate appearances. He drove in one of the two runs scored by Post #76.
